Vital Records Law

Washington State vital records law and rules outline how you order birth and death certificates.

  1. Only qualified applicants can receive a certified copy.

​  2. Applicants must provide proof of identity and proof of relationship.

  3. Certificate fee is $25 per copy.

​  4. Order HERE.

If you are ordering a death certificate and the date of death was less than 1 year ago, contact the funeral home. They may be able to order the death certificate for you.
