Dental Care While Pregnant
Dental care is especially important while pregnant. Once your baby is born, you can pass cavity causing bacteria to your baby. Learn more about dental care before, during and after pregnancy here.
Dental care is safe at any stage of pregnancy, but you might find it uncomfortable to sit in a dental chair for long periods of time as you approach your due date. Schedule an appointment early in your pregnancy to make the experience easier. However, you can receive dental care at any stage of pregnancy. |
Childhood Lead Exposure
There is not a safe level of lead for children. Even low levels of lead in the blood can result in developmental problems such as delayed growth, learning difficulties or delayed speech.
The good news is that lead exposure is preventable. The risk of lead exposure for any child depends on many factors. Healthcare providers can screen for lead exposure risk to determine if a blood lead test is appropriate. |
Birth to Three Program
Birth to Three is a program in Asotin County dedicated to helping children who are behind on meeting their developmental milestones. Anyone can refer a child, even a family member. Once referred, Birth to Three will arrange for an evaluation and develop an intervention plan, if needed.
